What's in my travel makeup bag?

I finally packed my makeup stuff after much procrastination for a good reason. It's only day 4 of the Chinese New Year celebration and I need my makeup so I literally put off packing till the very last day. Surprisingly I ended up packing much less than I intended to. The reason being I only have a 20kg limit in my baggage allowance and I know that I will be spending moolah over there for more makeup! So why bring so much when you're gonna buy more anyway, right?

 Face:

L-R: Skin79 Hot Pink compact powder, MAC blush in Fleur Power, Essence Silky Touch blush in Natural Beauty, L'oreal Base Magique primer

Skin79 BB Cream samples in L-R: Snail Nutrition, VIP Gold Super+, Diamond, Hot Pink

Decided to bring these samples because they are so tiny and travel friendly. Also, I now have 4 different types of BB Creams to enjoy before going out and getting a full sized foundation. I initially wanted to take with me the Revlon Whipped foundation but the glass jar is kinda heavy and I'm worried it's gonna break during traveling so that one's gotta stay. Too bad.. it's my longest lasting foundation!

Eyes:

Urban Decay Primer Potion, Maybelline Falsies mascara, L'oreal Brow Stylist pencil in Dark Brown, Garnier BB Eye Roll-on, Revlon Grow Luscious Lash Liner in Onyx, Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner in Black

Catrice Eyeshadow in Mr Copper's Fields, Skin Food Eyebrow Powder cake, Catrice Eyeshadow in Starlight Expresso, MUA duo-chrome Eyeshadow in Shade 12

Most of these products I already have a review on, just look for it in the search engine at the side bar! I can't believe I'm only gonna bring 3 eye shadows with me. I thought of my Inglot palette, Naked palette and even my Revlon quad but it felt so excessive. In my mind I am already shopping at Sephora or something so I'm pretty sure I don't need to bring that much eye shadow or makeup in general. lol Though I'm still physically here in Brunei, it is apparent that my mind has wandered off overseas.

 Lips:

Stage Lipstick in Blooming bud, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Milan

Brushes:

All of the brushes are from Sigma with the exception of the powder brush which is from ELF cosmetics. It's a dense brush with a flat top and it applies powder to the face like a dream! Sigma's brushes are really good too, I have been using mine for more than THREE freaking years now and they are still good as new! They are most definitely worth the price and I suggest you go for the complete kit if you haven't tried out any of their brushes yet. I'm curious about their Mr. Bunny synthetic brush kit, really wanna try those out some day!

That's all the makeup I'm taking on the plane with me. It differs so much from the makeup I brought with me when I went to KK eons ago! You can check that out here. Only if you're interested of course, no pressure.

Catrice Absolute Eye Colour eyeshadows

So I just finished watching the Australian Open Semi-Final match between Federer and Murray. Murray won with 5 sets and I'm looking forward to the final match between him and Djokovic. I've been a supporter of Federer for years now and the first tennis match I've ever watched is of him and some other dude which I don't even remember who it was. I did, however remember watching him play that first time and thinking "Wow, this dude is realllllyy good!" I was pretty clueless and didn't even realize I was watching the then world No. 1 tennis player in action.

Anyway, today I want to share with you guys my thoughts on Catrice's Absolute Eye Colour eyeshadows! There are a lot to choose from and I initially picked up 5 or so to try out but in the end I only got 2 because I have a really hard time deciding whether or not it's worth it and whether I really need them so 2 it is!

These are the two shades that I got!

I absolutely love the packaging! The eye shadows come in a clear plastic case with a closure that snaps shut and I love how you can easily see the color of the eye shadow! The packaging is not too bulky or too small which makes it perfect for traveling. Again, the plastic case makes the product seem a lot more expensive than it really is! Much like their bronzing powder. Each individual eye shadow comes with 2g of product. For comparison, a single MAC eyeshadow comes with 1.5g of product.

These eye shadows retails for B$4.90 in Paloma, The Mall. Mr Copper's Field is a gorgeous shimmering copper-gold color and it's great to use as an all-over-the-lid shade or even as a highlight in the inner corners of the eye. Starlight Expresso, on the other hand is a matte cool-toned taupe color. I don't know if this is the same with the rest but I find that the matte Starlight Expresso is more powdery than the shimmery Mr. Copper's Fields.

They are surprisingly pigmented and easy to blend! I was in a rush to go out a few days ago and I decided to put on Starlight Expresso. I even used my fingers to apply it on as well as blend it onto my lids and it worked out pretty well. However, I'd recommend you to put on some primer before applying any Catrice eye shadow if you want it to last longer because I tried using it once without any primer on and with one swipe of a wet tissue the eye shadow is gone! This surprises me because it usually takes a whole lot more than that for me to remove the Urban Decay eye shadow that I use all the time.

Overall I really enjoyed using these and they have been my go-to eye shadows currently. After trying these out they make me wanna go back and try the other shades! I'd probably go back for more neutral shades though. I wonder how pigmented are their colorful eye shadows, the blues and greens especially.
