My school face and other tidbits

As much as I love makeup, I have been pretty lazy about putting any on to classes this semester simply because one, we only have one class every week which lasts for 2 hours. And two, I can't think of any other reasons but one is enough for me to walk into the class looking like I just woke up. Last week however I stayed back at home instead of the hostel and obviously I have all of my makeup in my bedroom so I finally decided to 'glam up' before class!

On my face:

The Balm blusher in Cabana Boy,  Essence Soft Touch mousse make-up foundation in Matt Sand

On my eyes and lips:

Revlon quad in Blushed Wines, Revlon ColorStay black Liquid Liner, MAC lipstick in Bubblegum, Maybelline Lash Stiletto, MAC Paint Pot in Blackground

Anyway I was browsing through my pc and realize that I have a few pictures which doesn't really belong anywhere so I thought I could share them with you guys before deleting them!

My beautiful dream catcher which is hung on my bedroom window. My sister Sharon made them for me and she is really good with handicraft. So far she has made me knitted head bands, bracelets and a hat! This dream catcher is prolly my fav deco in the room apart from another white dream catcher which hangs over my bed which I bought in Miri a few months ago!

This is taken outside my home from when I tried taking shots for Shop Laurella. The stray cat came to our house months ago and never left! We named him Ninja!

Shala and me at Excapade for dinner a few days ago! I can never resist their Matcha ice cream w/ red bean! It's heaven in a bowl I tell you!

I have also recently just watched Victoria's Secret 2011 fashion show after hearing that this year's have already took place. I can't believe I've waited till now to watch them! Those girls are darn gorgeous! I love watching the models don these overly-designed costumes which cost a bazillion dollars to make and yet only took seconds to show.

Some pics from last year's show.

Victoria's Secret Bejeweled Eyes Palette

I have always been intrigued by Victoria's Secret products. I can never tell if the brand is positioned as a high-end brand or whether it's more towards the drugstore level. But I guess VS has a whole other 'level' on its own since you can probably only buy their products in a Victoria's Secret store. Unless you're from Brunei, of course. Then you can buy this at Kiulap Mall.

I am lucky to receive this as a gift. If you're an avid reader of my blog you'll know that this palette is given to me by Izzy and her lovely sis. I saw this sold at Shop at Sarah's and they are selling it for BND50! And I got it FOC! Sometimes I just wanna look at myself in the mirror and tell myself what a lucky bastard I am. lol

Victoria's Secret Bejeweled Eyes Palette

Victoria's Secret Bejeweled Eyes Palette

This is the first time I've tried VS's products, especially their makeup and I'm pleasantly surprised by their quality! These eye shadows are creamy and a breeze to blend. As for pigmentation, they are pretty decent but you can easily layer them for more definition. My favourite shades are the lighter shades and also the greyish taupe. All of the shades are shimmery except for the purple shade, which has slightly more of a satin finish to it. Gorgeous!

The only thing that I am still on the fence about is the black gel liner. The gel liner gets exposed every time I use this palette for the eye shadows. So far there hasn't been a problem but I'm not sure how well the gel liner is gonna fare and if it's prone to drying up.

Me wearing shades from the VS palette

I have on the light creamy shade as an inner corner highlight, the pearl blue on my lids and purple on the outer corner of my eyes.

I like that this palette has a few fun colors for me to play around with. Blues and greens are not something that I use frequently but the shades in this palette is def gonna inspire me to experiment with colors! Maybe turning a day look into a night-time makeup look or something. haha

Makeup gifts from Izzy and her sis!

Just wanna dedicate this post to the makeup gifts that I received from Izzy and her sister. I tried some of the makeup already and they are gorgeous! Not gonna say much, let the pictures do the talking! :D

MAC MSF in Smooth Merge, Stereo Rose and Sunny by Nature

I have always been fascinated by MAC's MSFs but I never get the chance to buy them because most of MAC MSFs are limited edition! I did manage to get hold of the permanent ones, Gold Deposit and Soft and Gentle but I wanted to try the rest too! Especially those blush colored and highlighters which comes out once in a while with a new collection. So these three are without a doubt precious to me! My precious... lol!

MAC Paint Pots in Rollickin', Blackground and Coral Crepe

I never own any Paint Pots before so I was super excited to try these! Many use them as a base but I think they can be used as eyeshadows as well.. right? Because I swatched these and once they dry it's so hard to get them off! I had to scrub my hands to remove the product. Very impressive. Me lavhs!
MAC Cremeblend blush in Joie-De-Vivre and Cream Color Base in Rich Coral

Tried the Cremeblend blush too and I love it! Seems like I'm loving everything so far haha but it's true! It looks a little peachy on the pan but when swatched it gives this super pretty pink colored blush!

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel and Estee Lauder Golden Bronze Goddess

Finally know what the hype is all about in youtube because the Chanel bronzer is phenomenal! loves!!

MAC Pigment in Rose

One word. GORGEOUS!! When you see it in another light, the gold reflects the light and it is so naise I have no word that I can think of to describe it! Here lemme show you!

There you go lol Right, right?? I think this jar of pigment was hardly used too because it was literally filled to the top!

Clockwise: MAC Hello Kitty palette in Lucky Tom and Too Dolly, Victoria's Secret Bejeweled Eyes palette

Tried the MAC palettes and I especially like the lightest color from Lucky Tom, the yellow toned eyeshadow. It's so pigmented it's perfect for the inner corners of the eye as a highlight! The VS's palette I have yet to try and I can't wait! So that is all of the pictures of the makeup I got. I cannot imagine how much they're worth in total! Makes me shudder to think about it lol And I'm so grateful to be able to receive them as gifts! Izzy, rest assured all the makeup are in good hands lol Thanks so much!
