Simplest FOTD!

I've been super busy lately I just don't have the time for makeup! I normally wake up about 2 hours before my classes in order to take my own sweet time decorating my face with colors but now I find myself waking up an hour before class commences and not even bothering to put on anything on my face (except my glasses of course). Occasionally though I will find that I have 15 minutes to spare and that'll be the time when I'd slab on something really quickly. Like BB Cream. And then filling in my 'barely there' eyebrows wtf

My typical FOTD on school days

Recently I'm always using Skin79's Hot Pink BB Cream (I'm wearing it in the photo above) because the weather's been kinda crazy with the sun and the rain so I opted to protect my skin as much as possible in case the sun decides to show up again. SPF25 is better than no SPF at all! I applied the BB Cream with this magical brush that I love love love:

Sigma Angled Top Kabuki - F84

Sigma Angled Top Kabuki - F84

I bought this about two months ago and have been using it ever since. This brush is a miracle! No kidding lol It makes applying any foundation/BB Cream 100x easier. I actually prefer this brush now rather than the regular flat foundation brush. I think the problem with the flat foundation brush is that sometimes it leaves streaks of foundation on your face and then you'll have to swipe them upwards, downwards and sideways to make them look even. With this Sigma F84, all you need to do is paint your face - literally. In whatever direction that you wish to use and it will work magic and apply the foundation/BB Cream evenly across your face. B$26.90 if I'm not mistaken. Go buy one lol

Hopefully after this semester's exams are over I will finally be able to play around with makeup again! I don't even remember the last time I visited youtube to watch those beauty videos. I miss watching haul videos and drooling over products I can't get! haha

Essence Quattro Eyeshadow - Over the taupe

I went over to Paloma a couple of weeks ago to take my VIP card but it wasn't ready yet (Jessie told me it took them 6 months to do them!). So I browsed my fav shelve there which is also the shelve which holds the cheapest makeup stuff in the store lol Picked this up.

There are other quads too, I think I saw a brown one but I think I have enough browns so I picked up the taupe quad. I have always had a fascination with the color taupe. It's always tough to describe them but I like to call them greyish brown lol These are super cheap too, as usual. Got them for B$5.90!

Essence Quattro Eyeshadow - Over the taupe swatches

These aren't as pigmented as I hoped they'd be but I think it's pretty good for the price. Let's just say you get what you paid for ;) No biggie though, this quad is perfect for those who just wanna do something quick and easy on the eyes. I have yet to use this on campus during classes but I think I should do it. Next week. :D The colors are definitely toned down enough for an everyday look!

It blended pretty easily and I think it's also easy to over-blend the colors so they would end up looking muddy and messy. I normally just pack on the eye shadow using a patting motion and blend it lightly. Other than that, I quite like this quad! Check them out if you're in Paloma!

Life at UBD is super hectic this semester! I think it was the breadth course that I took. LOL I know fellow blogger Jesmine will know what I mean. ;) Apart from that I also took this course called Stress Management with Complementary Therapies. It's pretty awesome! One of our coursework was to write up a reflective journal depicting the most stressful event in our life. That's already 50% of our coursework. The other 50% is the assessment on the activities that we did throughout this semester and that include Qi Gong, Makko Ho exercises, Meridian Tapping and even Foot Massage! And guess what. Tomorrow's the assessment! Better get back to my practice!

Enterprise day at UBD

We're currently nearing the end of the semester so you can imagine how much we have on our plate right now it's madness. I don't know how often I will be posting this month but here's a couple of shots taken during the Enterprise day event at UBD! Our booth offer photography services for super cheap prizes and I'm really glad with the turn out! The first day was pretty slow but the second day was amazing! Groups of people were waiting for their photos to be taken and it was pretty hectic today. :)

Talk to you guys soon. x

Revlon Lip Butters

I almost can't believe it when I saw Revlon displaying their lip butters on the shelf in Guardian. Finally! I didn't expect them to reach Brunei so quickly! I was thinking it would probably reach here two years later so I can't complain lol Come to think of it, why are lip butters here and yet, Maybelline 24-hour color tattoo eye shadows are not. Hm.

The two Revlon Lip Butters that I bought

Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake and Lollipop

Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake

Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop

The lip butters were all over the youtube beauty community and I kinda get why they rave about this so much. It's really super creamy! I like that Strawberry Shortcake doesn't have any glitter in them unlike Lollipop though it does seem a tad too light for my skin tone. =/ I can never tell which shade suits my skin tone unless I actually apply them on my lips.

I am pretty content with their prices too. Currently they are 10% off but the retail price is B$15.90. Can't complain because the ColorBurst lipsticks are even more expensive. This is actually a good alternative to the ColorBurst lipsticks! haha

I'm kinda regretting not getting Peach Parfait now. It looked so gorgeous on Emma Stone in the little booklet that advertises the Lip Butters. Between the two that I bought I think I preferred Lollipop just because it's more pigmented and looks naiser on my lips wtf

Swatches

I noticed that some of the lip butters are not as pigmented but I guess in general they are quite good! Kinda disappointed that they only released 8 shades here instead of the full 20 shades I believe. Hopefully in the future they're gonna release more like the Revlon Matte lipsticks!

The Balm - Balm Shelter Tinted Moisturizer

I've had this tinted moisturizer for quite a while but unfortunately I've never paid much attention to it. It's the only tinted moisturizer I've tried and own and I quite like it! I normally use it on my 'lazy' days when I simply wanna balance out my skin tone and also when I don't feel like putting on layers of face makeup.

The Balm - Balm Shelter Tinted Moisturizer

The Balm - Balm Shelter Tinted Moisturizer in Light/Medium

Balm Shelter Tinted Moisturizer swatch and blended out

Though it's not much, it does have SPF18 in it. The texture is really creamy and it's really easy to blend everything out nicely and I just use my fingers like I would a moisturizer! It gives quite a dewy finish so I always made sure to pat some powder on to tame the amount of shine on my face. Else I'll look a tad too shiny if you know what I mean lol

Applying Balm Shelter Tinted Moisturizer

If I'm not mistaken these only come in 3 shades. Light, Light/Medium and Medium. Just to be safe I purchased the Light/Medium shade.

After blending out.

I really like that this moisturizer feels extremely light on my face. Sometimes I even forget that I'm wearing a tinted moisturizer! Plus my skin gets really dry sometimes on my lips area so this is perfect for it! Since Sasa in Miri is open now, I believe you can get it there! :D Got this so long ago that I've forgotten how much this costs. Try it out if you haven't! It might just be what you need!
